  • From themed camps for young dancers to focused workshops and intensives for intermediate and advanced students, every session is designed to elevate confidence, deepen technique, and nurture a lifelong love of dance.

Ballet & Etiquette

Brush up on ballet skills in your favorite princess frills while also learning how to sit, sip, and move with grace and poise.

AGES: 3-7 (*must be potty trained)

DATES: June 8-12 / July 27-31

  • A brief performance will take place on Fridays.

FEE: $250 per week

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit will be charged at the time of enrollment and applied to the final balance.

ATTIRE: Pink tights and ballet slippers, any color one-piece leotard. Skirts optional. Self-expression is part of the fun this summer!

NIBBLES: Snacks will be provided. If your dancer has an allergy, please pack a safe snack of your choice.

Katrina Killian, Director
Children’s/Preparatory Divisions,
School of American Ballet

Following early ballet study in Pennsylvania with Marcia Dale Weary, Ms. Killian began her SAB training with the 1977 Summer Course and was enrolled in SAB’s Winter Term from 1979 to 1981. As a student, she participated in the New York City Ballet Education Department’s Lecture Demonstration program and was chosen by Peter Martins to dance a leading role in The Magic Flute for SAB’s 1981 Workshop Performances.

Ms. Killian became a member of New York City Ballet in 1981 and was promoted to Soloist in 1989. Her repertory included principal and soloist roles in works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, and Peter Martins, and she originated a principal role in Jerome Robbins’s Ives, Songs in 1988.

In 1997, she joined the School of American Ballet as a guest teacher and was appointed to the faculty in 1998. She was named Director of the Children’s/Preparatory Divisions in September 2024 and currently serves as Repertory Director for New York City Ballet’s Education Department, staging productions for SAB students for NYCB’s Ballet Bridges programs.


Classical Ballet of Mobile is thrilled to host a special one-day ballet workshop for students ages 8–14, featuring Katrina Killian, Director of the Children’s/Preparatory Divisions at the School of American Ballet (SAB)  in New York City.

This is a rare opportunity for young dancers to train under one of the nation’s leading ballet educators and to experience world-class classical ballet training rooted in internationally respected methodology and the highest standards of professional excellence.

ACRO CAMP

Sarah Stokes

Sarah is an Atlanta-based choreographer, dancer, and dance educator who thrives on collaboration and innovative approaches to movement. She earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2014, performing works by Shapiro & Smith, Carl Flink, HIJACK, and Helen Tamiris under the direction of Dianne McIntyre.

Sarah is the Founder and former Artistic Director of Atlanta Dance Collective (2015–2022), where she performed in works by Britt Fishel, Stewart/Owen Dance, Veronica Silk, and Mallory Baxley, and choreographed original works including IMPRINT (2019) and EXHALE (2021). She has also performed with Poetica Dance and Bautanzt Here, collaborating on The Othering, which was selected for the MAD Festival in 2024.

In addition to her professional work, Sarah is a sought-after acro coach and choreographer for young dancers. She holds multiple Acrobatic Arts certifications, a Module 3 Alexa Flexibility Method certification, and serves as Acro Director and instructor at Luma Dance and Acrobatics, hosting workshops and clinics throughout Atlanta.

Step into the magical world of
The Nutcracker!

Throughout the week, dancers will:

  • Train in ballet technique each morning

  • Learn choreography inspired by beloved Nutcracker scenes—Clara, Snowflakes, Spanish, Chinese, Marzipan, Flowers, and more

  • Explore musicality, stage presence, and character interpretation

  • Build confidence through group work, partnering concepts, and expressive movement

  • Create and take home a special Nutcracker-themed arts and crafts project, designed exclusively for this camp. This hands-on activity adds a magical keepsake element to the week and deepens their connection to the story.

This immersive program focuses on pure ballet and choreography, offering dancers the space to grow, shine, and explore the joy of Nutcracker performance without the rush of holiday season rehearsals.
